Diesel smell in cabin

Someone suggested that I could route the breather tube (Universal 5411) into the air intake. Can this be done? What parts do I need? Where can I get these parts? Anyone do this and have any pictures? Is this likely to solve my diesel smell problem? Thanks Rob

Smell?

We have the 5411 and the breather hose circles around and fits into a wire clasper in front of the air intake. The breather only lets out blowby and shouldn't be smelly (unless you have lots of blowby). Is it raw diesel you smell or maybe exhaust? Each would have a different potential source. Blowby in a tight engine should be slight.

Check Your Tank

I have the same year C-30 that you have and my tank developed a pinhole leak in one of the forward lower corners of the tank. It was so small that it didn't actually leak, just seeped a bit, but it was enough to put Diesel smell in the boat.
