The fuel gauge that I have sits directly on the fuel tank and is about the size of a half dollar. No electrical connections so I guess it works by magic. Right now it seems to be stuck. Anyone have an idea where I might be able to find a replacement for this gauge.

Check with Hunter

Contact Hunter for this one. Customer Service should have the answer. BTW, there is probably a float attached to that guage that is probably stuck. You might try to loosen the guage and check it out, first. But beware of any gaskets that may need to be replaced once you remove it.

Check the HOW store for the Acugage. It will read, fresh, waste and Diesel. If the tanks are plastic they will read from the outside, like magic but with wires. This unit is available now. If the Diesel tank is metal, in about 3 weeks, there will be a 1/2" PVC rod that goes in the tank. The rod is sealed and it sends a signal to determine what the level of the tank is. No moving parts in this unit. The rod is available now for fresh and waste. Dennis Snake River Electronics

Rochester guages

Those guages work by a magnetic coupling between the guage dial and an internal magnet that moves via a float. Yes, it may be magic. They were made by Rochester Guages, Inc., 11616 Harry Hines Blvd., P.O. Box 29242, Dallas, TX 75229. Web site www.rochesterguages.com. E-mail info@rochesterguages.com. They are "obsolete", but this place may have some in stock: CUNNINGHAM TAPE & PACKAGING, INC. 22011 DOGWOOD CIRCLE SPRINGDALE AR 72764 501-872-2445 fax 501-872-2446 Good luck.

Option with new gauge

Have a 89-30 with the same setup. We replaced the gauge with a float gauge with an electric read out, by on-off switch, in the cabin. The gauge was purchased at Boat US and fit the screw pattern of the tank. It sure beats sticking you head into the seat compartment and trying to read the gauge.
