Diesel Engine Maintenance Classes

Gordon,I am interested in taking a diesel engine maintenance class this winter. I got the material on the Mack Boring classes which would be perfect EXCEPT they are all on the East Coast except one in Chicago in February. Do you know of anyone who offers a smilar class on the West Coast, prefereably in Seattle? Thanks for your help.Gary WyngardenS/V Shibumi H335

Gordon should teach a class.

Gordon should set up a class and between he and his folks teach a course in basic diesel care and feeding. It should be for a weekend in January/February and he should charge for it, perhaps $100 or so. It could even be done as a class in conjunction with the Grand Rapids boat show, or even the Chicago show in February.Optimally, from my perspective, it should be for Yanmar diesels, but clearly the need exists for Westerbeke and Universals as well.Delta College in Saginaw, MI has something like this in early spring and it is quite popular.
