It is that time of year when we intentially screw with our internal clock, our circadian rhythm.
  • Spring Forward is the call.
  • Oh no, I am late for a meeting...
  • Who forgot to change the clocks?
  • Why is it still dark?
Phrases heard throughout the land of "Daylight Savings Time" today. Are we really saving time?

I find this is a week to be on the boat, to ignore the clocks, to adjust my body to the pace of the sun.
Get up when it is light. Go to sleep when it is dark.

Clocks. Time. Are they all constructs? Do they help or hurt our lives? Sure, without a clock, you can not tell where you are in the world or if your are track will cause you to land where you want (or is safe). Yet is that a way to avoid experiencing adventure?

How are you reacting to this cyclical construct?

I don't wear a watch since I've retired.. DST doesn't seem to affect me.. I read the Sunday paper on the tablet then walked a couple of miles then cooked a yummy breakfast .. Did the same yesterday (not Sunday paper) at about the same zulu time..

Without DST don’t see how weekday evening races work for more than a few weeks around the solstice. For that reason I hope it stays or becomes permanent.
