did hunter make a fixed keel with a centerboard?

I am trying to find out if hunter make a fixed keel with a centerboard? Is this a good keel design? Any input good or bad is needed thanks

H23 with CB

The 1985 H23 came with the winged keel and a centerboard that drops down from the keel. Only about 25 were produced, I think. Hunter can tell you exactly. The CB does allow it to point a little closer. As far as design, I don't know. I guess Hunter didn't like it because it had such a short production run. Mine is OK, although, I tend to forget about it being there. Ernie '85 H23 s/v Seas the Moment

I have since found out this is a shoal keel design with a center board if this helps

Have One, Done That

I own HUN23057D585. This is a Center Board h23. They only made a small number of these Center Board versions in early 1985. We just won The 2002 Hunter 23 Nationals with this boat. Yes, I would like information about the H23 Class Association. Please answer here or e-mail me @ ernierogers@sailnet.net. I sail my '86 h23 on Lake Conroe, a 22,000 acre lake in southeast Texas and I'm the only h23 on the lake. Conroe Yacht Club adopted Galveston Bay phrf, giving me a 246 non-spinnaker, but lists it as a Hunter 23, center board. I think this is way too low, but hey, don't we all. What do you guys think?
