Deteriorating gelcoat on deck?

My 1995 Hunter Legend 37.5 seems to have small amounts of white powdery residue on some surfaces of the deck. You don't really notice it except sometimes there's a little white dust on your pants, and there are some streaks on the fixed cabin trunk windows where water flows over them from the deck above.

Does anyone else have this condition? Do any of you think that this is anything to be concerned about?

It's time to give your decks a good cleaning and coat of wax

I wash and wax my boat at least once a season as advised by my owners manual.

Never had a problem with the deck being slippery.

The "chalking" can be considered gel coat rust if you like.

Wax seals the surface and protects it. Get a wax with UV protection.
