I just purchase a 1982 Catalina 22. The instructions at the dealer was very slim at best. We did a dry run in setting up the rigging on dry land but the final details for getting the boom attached to the goose neck. I not sure if we attached everything right. We did raise the Main sail but then ran out of time because a bad thunder storm. It was wild we did get everything down quickly also fun I'm sure the neighbors thought we knew something they did not know with all this rain coming down. Now the standard manuel suggests that there is another manuel to refer to. Is this true? And how can I find out? This is my first experience of doing this. Very excited ( 50th birthday coming) to get to the water. Any help would be appreciated. One final thing about this Catalina Associations where can I find out more or who to contact about it. We live in Quakertown Pa. We plan to learn on the lake Nochamixion. PS We do have some sailing friends who promised to help. So we looking forward to this adventure as we enter this stage of life.
