I have a thru hull depth sounder installed that works well, as a gift I received a fish finder with a "in hull", puck type transducer. Will the two transducers confuse each other? thanks, jack

Makai is a Voyage 380 catamran and only came with a Raymairne depth sounder. We have since added Lowrance lms160 (West Marine closeout $150) which is a combined plotter/GPS/Sonar/speed/temp, etc in the port hull. Theya re about 20 feet apart. We have had no problem with interference. The second benefit is that the visual bottom reeading. We find it easier at a glance to see how the bottom is forming up as well as a estimate of the density of the bottom. Works for fishing too! Along the other combined uses it reduces the clutter and improves the functionality of the onboard systems. We also saved a ton of money over a second Raymarine unti that only does speed and depth if you punch a hole in the boat.
