Depth Gauge on a 1987 23'

I bought one of those Humming Bird units for 50-60 bucks and mounted the transducer inside the hull in the last starboard aft compartment as close to the center of the hull as I could go. I think it is behind the keel. Stuck it in with that toilet seal ring wax, Johny Ring, and it is working great. Hope this helps someone down the road.

I too am interested in the model that cost 50-60 bucks and your source. I can't find a any new Hummingbird for that price online. Closest I see is around a hundred.

We are very poor sailing mice and sail in very shallow lakes.

Maybe it was more like $85.00. Iknow I found it on Amazon. Sometimes if I really dig on the net, I can find some deals. Takes some time though.

Hey carbo, so you just embedded it in the wax and pressed it against the hull? You don't get any keel interference?
