to all who sent information. I was able to convert my old Eagle Fish/Depth Finder from a transom attached transducer to an internal (shoots through the hull) transducer and guess what, no holes in the hull. I tested the hull for the best location by using a zip lock bag full of water and my transducer. Then I purchased a PCV connector, put it in place, filled it with epoxy and set the transducer in place. In 90 minutes I had a great set up. I have a Hunter 235 and located the transducer starboard aft inside the locker under the main birth. It does not shoot through the water balast tank. I tried to set it under the v birth with no luck. I ran the wires underneath to the battery and then up through the hole in the battery locker, under the seat and its back. I used a couple of suction cups with hooks to keep the wires out of the way. It runs across to the companionway, through the hatch cover channel and to the finder which, mounted on a piece of walnut with little rubber feet, sits on my hatch cover while I sail. I can see the depth (and fish if so inclined) from any point in the cockpit and when I'm done sailing, I pull it back inside, out of weather and harms way. Thanks again for all the advice.Hayden
