Depth finder transducer

Anyone know where the depth sounder transducer was placed on a 1983 s29.2A? I realize this may be different for different boats, but there may be a preferred placement by S2.

As I recall mine is in the cabinet across from the head.

mine was behind the keel on the port side of the fuel tank but it is now in front of the keel dead center where the speed log used to be
