Depth finder for H260

Has anyone sucessfuly installed a depth finder with a transducer shooting thru the hull on a H260? Where was the transducer installed? What Brand? I tried a 'Hawkeye' (about $100.00) It only works if transducer is submerged in water outside the hull. Thanks for your input and a Merry Christmas to all!

My 240

Reinhold, Merry Christmas and greetings from Indianapolis. I was able to mount a Humminbird Fishfinder model successfully in my 240. After testing the reading with KY Jelly, I Epoxied the transducer under the aft berth. I run the wires out to the display unit through the hatch under the starboard cockpit locker. The wires then lead to a nice teak mounting board/bracket that is strapped to the stern rail seats with eletrical conduit hangers I found at Lowe's (nice rubber backs so they don't scratch the stainless)
