Delamination of cabin grid.

I just did a pre-purchase survey on a 1996 MKII. The forward side of the aft most cabin grid was delaminated from the hull on the portside of the boat. The frp had delaminated for a distance of 16-20" along the transverse or lateral section. This was viewed from the aft most locker access under the settee. A second area 14-16" long was at the forward end of the aft locker on the starboard side. The main stringer was also delaminated. There is no evidence of damage to the vessel that would have caused this. My guess is that the owner has repeatedly trailered the boat with his 8hp (80-90#) outboard mounted. Has anyone encountered similar issues on their MKII? Thanks for your reply. Regards, Doug Palmquist, S.A. Punctilious Marine
