I have a 1987 37.5 Legend that was hauled yesterday. About 9 inches above the water line on the Starboard aft ther is a gelcoat delamination that started about the size of a dime and is now two spots about 3-4 inches in circumference. Upon inspection of this I found PLASTIC on top of the fiberglass. The same type you use for a drop cloth when painting. Thick mil plastic with the gelcoat supposedly sticking to the top of it. I have removed a sample and taken photos and sent them to Hunter. But has ANYONE out there seen this?

biscuit - the type sailors eat.

serious

get in touch with a gooooooooooooood boat yard to assess the problem. hunters are excellent but not always so good on repairs at times. also check on web sites of fibreglass firms, etc. go to all the necessary trouble now - and the work - worth it in long term. biscuit.
