Degree of deadrise

I am looking to replace my depth sounder with a Garmin Inteliducer which will connect directly into my Garmin 441 Chartplotter. When speaking with Garmin Support, they asked me what my degree of deadrise is so that I can get the correct unit. I have looked through all my records and boat docs, but I see nothing on the degree of deadrise for a 1984 ODay 34. Has anyone dealt with this issue and can you help me? thanks Corey

I depends on the location you will be placing the transducer at. If you have an iPhone go into the level function( there with the compass) and lay the phone were you intend to install the transducer, the angle given is the dead rise for that spot. My C30 has more deadrise near the bow than amidship.

Thank you, I will try that. I also figure that I am removing the old thru hull for the Depth, so I assume the replacement thru hull for the Garmin Smart Triducer which has these specs

· Beamwidth of 10 Degrees x 44 Degrees
· Maximum Depth of 330 Ft

· For Use on Fiberglass & Metal Hulls Upto 22° Deadrise
should be able to work. Garmin won't say without exact measurements, but it is sold for sailboats and there aren’t that many out there. I think it is a safe bet. If not, I will know when she is pulled this spring the exact numbers.
