Decompression lever for Universal 25XPB?

Does the Universal 25XPB have a decompression lever? I've looked all over the engine, and checked the manual, and can't find anything about it. It's nice to have when you're trying to start with a weak battery.

I could not find one in the manual or on the engine. Good news though is the engine is self bleeding. Given a choice, I'll keep the self bleed feature.

The 25's had them. They did away with them on the later xpb version.

I moved up from a 5411, so the self bleeding is nice, but I'd really like to have both. Oh well....

marchrem, we've always found it easier to install and maintain a robust & healthy electrical system, to avoid "weak battery syndrome."

For our M25 and M25 XPs, I have found that for some reason the C30 crowd used theirs, not so much if at all for our boats. Of course, the M25XPB is a slightly different beast.

Actually I was thinking about the boat I race on. Their battery management system is non-existent. That's where I learned the trick of starting the engine with the decompression lever open. Of course my boat would never have a weak battery!!
