I am in the process of decommissioning my newly aquired Hunter 33. The crane will arrive on wednesday morning and all is done except for the actual lift. My question though is exactly how is the mast attached to the boot? My rig has an internal halyard system and it appears that I may just unbolt the boot from the top of the cabin ( 4 bolts)... Maybe not... anyone know for sure how it comes off? Thanks for the help.

H33 mast seat

The mast extrusion simply sits on the seat, held in place by the pressure of the standing rigging. Probably have disconnects with extra wire in the mast so that when the crane raises the lower end of the mast a foot or so, the connectors for the cabling can be disconnected. Attached is a photo of the deck seat for the mast. IT stays in place when the mast comes down.
