Looking to mount (2)6" deck speakers on side wall of cockpit seat(s). Outside of cutting through the fiberglass and sealing the flange well--is there anything I should be aware of?

I mounted two Infinity speakers on my 89 Catalina 30 in the stern seat area. The speakers should come with a template,and I used a Dremel Tool with an circular jig. I simple drilled a hole in the center and ran the tool in a circle. A clean perfect cut and then ran the wires.

I know you have posted there. Tom Potter did a nice mount of speakers under the catbird seats. No need to cut into the fiberglass! You may want to add portlights to that area at some time to get more light and breeze into the aft sleeping area..
