When I bought my 37.5 last year the survey showed some moisture in the deck forward of the deck cover that the lines run under and aft of the mast. When removing the deck cover I discovered that the the groove that it sits in had been damaged by the cover and smashed through the glass enough to let water get in. I did what I could with silicon at the time and put the cover back on but now its time for a proper fix.
Has anyone else seen this? you might want to check because it was hidden except for the moisture meter... Does your deck cover have some sort of sealant/caulking in the groove where it meets the deck?
I plan to fix with epoxy as described in Don Caseys book. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks
Gareth
