Deck Prisms

Hey Catalina owners,

I purchased a 1980 C-30 #1708 last fall and am in the process of getting her ready for a spring launch. My question is at some point she had a in deck vent in the v berth but, now all I have is a 3" (apprx) hole in the deck. I am thinking about installing a deck prism in the hole. Any thoughts or experience with installing a deck prism would be helpfull?

Why don't you install a new vent? You can replace the original simple cowling style or upgrade to a nifty solar powered model.

I have the same hole in my vbirth and put a Nicro 500 vent in. Just glued it on w 5200. Not solar but it does let a lot of light in up there.
