I have an 1977 ODay 20 that I'm getting ready to sail. Where would be a good source for original lighting. Specifically, I'm looking for a replacement globe for the deck light located on the mast. Thanks in advance for the help.
Many of the fixtures made 35-40 years ago are no longer made as styles, mfgs. and so forth have changed or gone out of business. I would look but doubtful at scrap boat yards but that would be wasting a lot of your time for little cost. Suggest that you look at West Marine site in the light section.
While you are looking at new fixtures hone in on an LED lamp as they utilize little power and will probably outlast your ownership of the boat. There is no upside to try and keep the boat original; its monetary value wont change a bit whether the deck light is original or not.
