On the H-34, on either side of the mast base, there are two Treadmaster pads so ya can stand there securely. The pads can be made from two pieces about 9" wide by 24" long. In order to get enough material to not have to "jig saw" it together, it looks like I have to buy a pad 3 feet by 4 feet, which costs about $175 or so.. It seems like $80 per little anti-skid pad is OUTRAGEOUS.. I am poking about trying to find a nice looking substitute but haven't yet.. Any of you H-34 owners replaced yours and what did you use? Pictures?
You can see the little (apparently gold and rubber mix ) pad just forward of the line organizer.

Ever think of doing it yourself by putting down a colored paint and some finely ground sand? I read that in a book about fitting out your boat DIY style.

I put down some pads on my cockpit floor by seadek. I went with a faux teak, see attached pictures. I have been very happy with it. They are great to work with, it is self sticking. They have many colors and sell sheets, they may sell part of one. They also custom cut them. Here is a link. May be worth a call. http://www.seadek.com
