I own a 23.5 first and I need to know where to find the decals for the side, mine or cracking and faded. Also how do I get the old ones off provided I find new ones.

I replaced the decals on my F305 by taping meat packing paper on top of the old decals and rubbing over it with crayon. This stenciled the lines onto the paper. Then I took the stencils to a graphics shop for new decals. You can get the old decals off with a putty knife and a hair dryer. Then get the residual glue off with some glue remover which you can get at West or Boat US. I can't remember the product name, but it did the job.

Brad, I have a 1989 F235 that I replaced the decals on this spring. You can order the entire "package" of decals that come on the boat from Beneteau. It takes a while to get them as they come in from France. They may be slightly different than the ones that came on your boat - mine were - but they look a lot better nonetheless. Regarding removing the old ones, I used a heat gun & a scraper. You have to be really careful with the gun so you don't melt the gelcoat, but they will come off. Also be careful with the scraper as it's extremely easy to get into the fiberglass. I actually used the back of the scraper blade as it wasn't as sharp & was less likely to get into the glass.

Rich; I went to a local sign maker and had him cut blue and yellow stripers. I then applied them to the boat and cut off the corners to get the taper. There is a automotive product used to remove "wood vinyl" from cars. It worked well to remove the old stripes. The Beneteau emblem can be made by the sign maker with a scanner.
