Wow.. Friday the word was that the storm was going to be a non-issue.. Today is a lot different.. Water on the Lake Pontchartrain is already almost 2 feet above normal .. winds around 20 gusting to 25.. going to have to make a run overe therre to make sure dock lines and boat is secure. I am pretty sheltered from the current wind forecast, but still may see 40-50 at the slip.. Another one where I think our weather folks were a bit asleep at the switch (weekend) until someone pulled the alarm.
The Seabrook containment doors (New Orleans flood walls) were just set into place two weeks ago so I guess they are going to get closed tonight along with the others in the flood system..
