Went to the fall boat show in Oakland last weekend and had the opertunity to check out the new models.. We had just climbed out of a 49 when we were approched by one of the salesmen. During the conversation, I mentioned I had a First 42. The salesman looked at me kinda puzzled and said, you mean a center cockpit 42, and I said No, a First 42. He and another sailsman looked at each other and said they had never heard of a first 42. It wasn't until an older gentelman from the same company approched, when the info was cleared up. The older gentelman went on to inform the younger two of the history of the "Hot Rod" versions of the Beneteau Models.
