I have a 1975 H27 it has 8 alumium framed deadlights (non opening windows) I am about to begin rebuilding them, new plastic and seals. The window has a rubber seal on the out side that wedges into the frame. It is about 1/4 thick x 5/8 wide and goes around the entire window. Does anyone know of replacement material? I've tried Mark Plastics but no luck. Thanks

For sure some H27 owner's will know. But in case that exact replacement seal is not available would a round one suffice? You could use some silicone to hold it in place until it was compressed when you screwed it back down.

I replaced the non opening port lenses on my 83 H34 with aluminium frames. I bedded the lenses in Dow 795 doing away with the rubber seal. I posted a complete description in the Modifications section

Sounds like a prior owner...

I think most Cherubini h27s came out of the factory with plastic window fittings, the earlier ones (like our '77 model) deadlights that won't open, and later ones with plastic opening ports. (These could have been an option earlier.)

So this sounds like the work of a Prior Owner.

In any case, Richard's suggestion of Dupont bedding compound (or another with similar properties) sounds good to me.
