Dead engine panel.

Hi,
The starter on my yanmar 4jh2e went in smoke. I replaced it with a brand new one and thought this was the end of my problems.....
The engine control panel is dead. Turning the key does not result in the noisy buzzer, no light, nothing.
I noticed two relays:
124817-91850 and Kissling 29.313.11 300A.
I need to know how the engine control panel gets its + and - ?
It is the B2 type panel.

You might find the shop manual here on this site under Owner Resources. There's also one at https://www.endeavourowners.com/dscsn/info/manuals/4JH2E Service Manual.pdf. The schematics should help.

You replaced a symptom rather than find or fix the problem which caused it. Lesson learned…

not sure if someone has a link to an online engine instrument schematic but if not, I can scan and post the relevant pages of the service manual from which you can trace the wiring.

Gents, I found the wire - large diameter with red insulation. The engine is running again!
