Daysailor II Flotation

I am currently looking at a 1973 17 ' daysailor IICan anyone tell me if this boat has any flotation?What are the problem spots for this boat. It seems tobe in very good shape. I did notice short bunk boardson the trailer and if I pushed down on the hull I couldmake the bottom flex. Is this normal ?Thanks to all,Tony

Tony - First, there is a great FAQ about buying Daysailers at www.daysailer.org. The boat should hold air in the seat tanks. There may be foam in there to displace water, too. I put inspection ports in my boat and replaced the foam because the old stuff was waterlogged. Most boats of that vintage will be. As far as hull flex - all boats do it to some extend.
