I would like to make a door for the cuddy opening of my DSII rather than buy one. Has anyone done that who would like to pass along some of the specifics of their experience? (Type of wood used, shape, size, best way to make water tight, etc?)

Barry, I just made new hatch boards for my Mariner.Mahogany frame and Okume panel (1/4" plywood)Not quite finished painting yet but i'll post an image tomorrow.
