I recently acquired a DS II. I would like to replace the lines as well as "reseal" the bolt that holds the centerboard. I believe there's a little leakage getting betweeen the floor and the hull as a result of worn washers(?) where the bolt holds it. Are there DETAILED instructions somehwhere about how best to do this?

I have a whole book on the DS II

Send me an e-mail at roger02@mts.net or check out my website at http://groups.msn.com/RogerConrad/shoebox.msnw?Page=1 I have written a 100 page book on repair maintenance and upgrade of this boat. There are three pages of pictures there with some explanations on the website. The fix is easy. Order replacement rubber gaskets from D&R marine at ~$7 each, prop up the cb with wedges while on the trailer, reach into the inspection ports in the cockpit and undo and remove the cb bolt with two 3/4" socket wrenches, replace the old gaskets with the new, replace the bolt, tighten nuts, remove the wedges that held the cb in place and your off. This procedure along with numerous others are detailed with pictures in the book and full color CD.
