class rules say the boat complete with all rigging, but NO sails will weigh 575 pounds, some boats may weigh less and weight has to be added. therefore, boat, sails, anchor and junk will weigh about 600 lbs, probably...
You should not have any problem pulling you DSI with your CRV. I have a 2001, Ford Ranger, 4cyl. and have no problems at all. As Bruce stated in the previous post, it should weigh about 600 lbs. Thanks Gary and Bruce, I found the spec.s even before I wrote but wasn't totally positive. I gotta pull the "Paisano" up into the Adirondack Mtns tomorrow and worried a little because of the climbs. Also gotta pack the Capn and the 4 and 6 year old and all their stuff so I'll be loaded. Wish me Luck
Be sure and tell us how you did in the mountains with the kids and the capt. Especially if you are loaded down. Going up the mountains maybe a little taxing, but get in the slow lane and chug along in a lower gear. Have fun sailing.
