At the end of last summer I bought a daysailer II that had been sitting for several years. I will need to replace all of the running rigging as it has been in the sun for two long and is in bad shape. It has what I believe to be the original wire cable to line halyards that I want to replace with a one piece line instead. ( I would like input on this ) The centerboard control also has the wire cable to line setup. I haven't had the boat off of the trailer to see how well it works. But I do know that the line needs replaced and I'm thinking of going to a one piece line for this also. ( something else I'm looking for input on ) I didn't get a boom vang with the boat either and that is something I would like to see a close up picture of one if anyone could help me out. All the reserch I've done tells me that there is to be one but I have yet to see how it's set up. I know a couple in Wichita Ks that have an O'day daysailer II, but I would like to get my boat into shape as best I can before I start to bug them. They are part of a group that taught a beginners sailing class that used sunfish, so I know that I will be leaning on them for help on sailing with a jib. Thanks for any constructive input you are able to give me on this.
