Daysailer Stuff

For great information on rigging a daysailer, check out <http://www.daysailer.org/ds_rigging_guide.html> If you are asking simply how the boom attaches to mast, the should be a piece in the end of the boom that attaches to a piece in the sail track on the boom. They fit over each other and secure with a cotter pin. If yours is missing, Rudy at DnR Marine in Mass, or Cape Cod Shipbuilders can hook you up. Justin - O'day Owners' Web

DS II boom rigging

If you send me an e-mail with your mailing address, I will send you a copy of the owners manual and a drawing of the mainsheet rigging for the DS II. rjohnson24@juno.com In the meantime, the mainsheet should be tied or shackled (may be spliced) to an eye near the end of the boom, it then runs down to a block on one corner of the transom, then across to a block on the other corner of the transom, then back up to a block near the end of the boom, then forward to the block at midboom, then down to the block on the aft end of the centerboard trunk and through the provided camcleat.
