I am in the process of removing the centerboard from my 1983 DaySailer II. I have removed the pivot retainer plates and as much as the caulk as I could cut and scrape off. My problem is that the two wedge-shaped inserts that support the nylon pivot pin don't want to come out. On one side I can pry the insert away from the side somewhat. On the other side, however, I can't budge it. When I try to push a putty knife down along the side it seems to be hitting something hard. I am reluctant to force anything. I am wondering: is there anything but the caulk holding these support pieces in? Can anyone give me some guidance about removing them. Thanks in advance for any help. AndyB
