Davits for a Hunter 456 Passage

I am looking for any information on dingy davits for Hunter 456 passage CC.
I am in contact with Mr. Mike Thomas of Ocean Marine Systems, and I got all the information from him.
but I want to hear from Hunter's owners about other types, problems, and anythings that will help me decide.

I have a 2000 450 and installed Kato davits , they work great but put a lot of strain on the stern rails.If I could do over I would install a tower from Atlantic tower in N .J. I do not want to put any more weight on the davits without reinforcement . The davits from Kato are top in quality . Good luck, great boat.

Ocean Marine

I have the heavy duty Ocean Marine davits on my H-36 and carry on them
a 9'6'' Aluminum floor with 8hp and the dinghy and motor stay on the davits
24/7 when cruising.
Get the double cross bar and 6-1 tackle on both for lifting and been very happy with them and no problems at all.
They are adjust able to allow the dinghy to move out away from the stern so it does not hit the stern when going up and down.
They are very well built and most other boaters really comment how good they are.

we had a arch built in ss to match the cockpit arch. best thing we did, supports antennas, solar panels, attached a back stay to it, and the dink is high enough we can use the transom steps!!!

I have seen those rear custom arches on a 410 and in fact I got my
Ocean davits used from a 410 Hunter who did just that and yes they are very nice and if I had a 410 I think I would do the same but I think it is over kill for my H-36.
I have my dinghy ride pretty high and could bend down under and get off but not usually do that and can see out the stern very well and the stern light is not blocked either.
When I use to back into my slip at the marina i did not really want davits but now at a private slip along side the dock we love having davits when cruising for sure so easy and handy.
