I have to replace my dinghy davit rigging lines. It looks like they are some kind of custom rope with eyelets . I have been stumped through web searches as to find a company that sells davit rigging. Anyone out there know of a place. The David's were made by Ocean Marine Systems out of Canada. I checked their website nothing ....

You could find a rigging shop that would make the splices for you if you buy the line. Or you could just tie bowlines.

Replace

You could do as Stu said buy the length of line needed and tie bowline on the ends or stop by West marine or any Mariner and ask if some one can splice line.
I have done both with good results or call Ocean Davits but I am sure my first suggestion will be alot cheaper.

Re: Replace

I just found this great Eunglish company that makes adjustable nylon davit lines. They are less than half the price of the wire ones, including shipping, and adjustable, so you can keep the dink at the angle you want. Try www.saltyjohn.co.uk

Davit lines? Aren't they just good old sailing line of a certain diameter and length? Then you attach whatever hardware was on the old line. If you don't splice, then learn or go to someone who does (or tie a bowline as suggested). Any good sailboat store should be able to help you. Maybe even West Marine, but they probably don't know how to splice (they don't in my area).
