My 1985 Hunter 31 has the datamarine Corinthian series S200DL. The readings bounce around from actual depth to multiple numbers within seconds. I have read previous postings in the Forum Archives. Sounds like a common problem. The previous owner misplaced the instruction book and all the letters are worn off on the back. I do not know how to adjust the gain or adjust for keel depth. If someone has the manual or page on adjustment instructions, I would be grateful if you could scan, email, or snailmail them to me. I will also send the unit to the shop for a checkup, so hopefully I can stop bumping into things in the Chesapeake. much thanks for your help, John Blakely, Sailorrose@aol.com; John Blakely, 9 Bamborough Court, Baltimore, Maryland 21236

Datamarine Depth meter problem

I also have a 1985 Hunter 31 and had identical problems. However my entire unit was defective and had to be replaced. I am not the original owner of my boat but I do believe that I have the material on the sounder in my files. If you need it I could photocopy and send it by email.
