Pretty sure that the bulb is in that external “crown” at top center. I think that part can be opened for access to the bulb. I can’t remember if you have to remove it from the bulkhead or if that part snaps onto the case.

In your first picture you may notice a tiny 'chip' in the top cover that Kloudie referred to.
It may be that a PO removed the cover to replace the bulb and that he succeeded.
Or, he may have failed!
Either way, if it can be removed, and if the bulb access is there, see if you can replace it.
If not, and no other access is available, or if the bezel breaks, you are no worse off
than you are now.
Good lock and let us know what you find. I'm sure there are others that have a similar compass.

Thanks for your answers.
Y had try to remove the "crown" but i couldn't.
I'll try again, but it seems to be very hard glued.
If I succeed, I will tell you

@Ralph Johnstone Blowing up stuff is fun but in instance I think it is overkill.

Try searching online for a manual for one of the compasses Ralph mentioned. I had one of those, but I sold that boat 20+ years ago. You might try removing the compass from the bulkhead and investigating, you may be able to get to the bulb from the back of the compass.

I doubt it is repairable, but you could probably pick up another just like it at a used marine chandler for a song.

If you are successful in removing the unit from the bulkhead, it might be wiser to replace the entire compass, leaving you with full function in the cockpit where a light is certainly important. The old compass can be mounted on an interior bulkhead where it can provide valuable service when you're down below. Assuming the only problem is the light, I suggest it would not take much imagination to craft a small, externally mounted red pen light for night viewing.

Once the compass is out of the bulkhead, there may be a screw on the back of he flange that is holding the bulb holder in place.. ?
