I own a 1986 31' Hunter. My problem is dampness at base of the bulkhead separating the head from the dinette. I believe this water is coming down from where the mast connects at the deck. Any suggestions or solutions?
Common problem! You should remove the covering from the compression post and check for rot.
If there is an issue you may want to check the archives for a repair/upgrade.
The deck step should also be removed and rebedded. Be sure that the drains are clear and you have a drip loop in the wires that go below. Be sure that the tube is also properly sealed too.
