Damper Plate replacement HBW 50

I'm getting some rattling noise in neutral and at Low RPMs. From my reading about these tranys it would seem that there may be damper plate wear or maybe even loose springs. How difficult is it to change/inspect.

That all depends on how much space you have to work in. My M25xp has very little space so I would likely need to move the entire engine into the cabin and remove the bell housing that way. If you do it in place, you will need to disconnect the drive shaft and have a few inches clearance to slide the tranny back to maneuver it out of the way.

Once you have access, it is very easy to swap out the damper plate.

Wow, that looks like major surgury. The problem is I may not have enough room to move the prop shaft back in order to pull the spline out. Haven't even addressed bolt access yet.
