Are you talking about a D4 Wallas heater?
I installed one on my CAL 35.
Straight forward install. Spent a lot of time considering the routing of ducts and the access to fuel on my boat.
I got most of it right. I am still going to adjust some of the install locations.
What is it that has you perplexed?
Install in a location that minimizes the noise from the fan motor. Follow good HVAC ideas regarding register placement and return air ducting.
On my unit there were two output ducts on the heater. The upper duct produced a little more heated air flow than the lower duct. I used the upper duct to push the air further through the boat to the registers than the lower duct.
The other side of the heater were two intake ducts. One I plumbed to draw outside air in the system. The other is the return from the air inside the boat.
