D2-55 C vent screw

Hi all,

We have a 423 with a Volvo Penta D2-55 C diesel. I'm trying to vent it after replacing the fuel filters. Where is it exactly? Is it a screw or bolt or what? Thanks, Jack

I thought it was a screw but will have to confirm when I get to my boat in a couple of days. FYI there is a great 423 site with over 500 members on yahoo groups. Many of us have that Volvo engine since it was standard.

I checked the manual and there is both a vent screw and a pump - both adjacent to the dip stick. If you send me your email address I'll send you a picture and instructions from the manual.
