I want to thank eveyone for the response to my last posting. (Tall Rigger Or Not). If you have time I wonder if some of seasoned sailors may give me some rough idea of monthly cost of a Catalina 30. (Everyone is a seasoned sailor compaired to me) I know the slip fee's in my area is somewhee between $10.00 and $12.50 per foot. Can you give some idea of 1. Bottom cleaning in my area 2. Yearly taxes on a boat in the $30,000.00 price range 3. Insurance 4. Monthly periodic maintance. And anyother cost that I might incure on a monthly bases. Thanks For Your Help Tom Kirk

Rough Budget

You have the slip fee right. Bottom cleaning $1.00/ft/month, Insurance for Long Beach Marina requires $100K liability just got a quote from Boat US for a C36 at$242/year. Property tax is the going rate- somewhere about 1% of value and the tax on the slip value for the year runs about $55/year. Throw in another $50/month for maintenance and your set.
