I need to change the cutless on my C-320. Will the shaft clear the rudder or does the rudder also need to be pulled? Thanks

Cutless Bearing

While it may not be exactly the same as on my Cat 30 or my previous boat, I was able to do both myself without dropping the rudder. If I had my yard do it they just cut the shaft in two. It does make it somewhat easier, but more expensive. It may also eliminate any rudder conflict in your boat.

Cutlass

I recently had a diver replace my Cutlass on my C320. He removed the prop then used a Cutlass puller tool to remove and replace the Cutlass bearing. It took about 45 minutes. The shaft does not have to be pulled at all.
