cutless bearing

I am in the bahamas, need to know the size for cut less bearing hunter 37 cutter. 1" shaft , need the inside dia. of the strut, ie the thickness of the bearing, can anybody help

I replaced the cutless bearing on my 83 H37c a couple of years ago. The bearing was a Johnson by Duramax Marine 1 x 1.25 x 4. I hope this helps.

These are definitely the bearing measurements for the H37C, if it has the original 1" shaft and the original strut. Two Allen-head grub screws hold it in the strut casting. There are some articles here in the archives about making your own bearing puller.

Look on Mainsail's web site for info how to change cutlass bearing and I just did mine a few days ago and the new bearing is coming from HOW this week.
