ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THE WHERE TO GET THE BEST PRICE AND ASSURED THE CORRECT PRODUCT WHEN PURCHASING A NEW CUTLESS BEARING FOR AN 85 CAT 30. DO I NEED TO GO DIRECTLY TO CATALINA OR WILL THE PRODUCTS LISTED IN BOAT U.S. DO THE JOB? AS ALWAYS THE SUGGESTIONS AND HELP GIVEN IN THESE FORMUMS IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED!!

This came from someone who belongs to the same email list as I do for catalina 30s.If your cutlass bearing is the same as mine with a 1" shaft, you willneed a 1" X 1-1/4" X 4" bearing. I believe it is made by Johnson(something). Make sure you get it from an industrial supplier as itwill cost HALF of what it will cost from a marine chandlery - nokidding - same thing. Look up in the yellow pages under "bearings andseals".I hope this helps you some. I have not chaged mine so I can't add any extra info.
