Cutlass replace

Hi everyone and changing out my cutlass bearing on my 07 H-36 and wondering
if it is a good idea to use the new cutlass bearing to use to push out the old and in with the new.
I did pull the shaft so I can put a new bellows on my PSS and clean it all up and even though the cutlass bearing is good I am changing it because I have it all apart.

I think I would be afraid of damaging the new bearing.

The cutlass bearing is out and had to do Mainsail's hacksaw trick with 2 screws
in where the set screws go and knocked it out with a punch with a few hits.
I will order the cutass bearing here on Monday than next week finish bottom paint and PSS and boat back in water a day or 2 after new Years.
