So…… it sounds such like you should be doing it all the time but I have changed my cb two times. Once on my old boat and just this year on my new boat. We have been inactive in the slip while we put an arch on the stern. Runnng to and from mooring this weekend, engine sounded good but I didn’t feel the speed. Do bearings have to cut themselves a bit? It was tight putting on. 30mm all rubber into the stern tube. Not a bronze on a strut.
Thanks

Thanks for the link….. actually read that years ago while doing last boat. Beneteau uses an all runner cutlass bearing. Goes right over the shaft for an easy install. Can still spin shaft by hand but yesterday just felt I was not going that fast…… might have stuff on my prop. Might be my imagination…… was the first ride out as I have been working at the slip.
