cutlass bearing..1978 30' with yanmar 12hp

Hello all,
I need to change my strut cutlass bearing. Its 1 X 3 inch.. I can only find 1 x 4. inch is this normal? can I cut the bearing to 3 inches?..Thanks.

Try millerislandprop.com I bought a strut from them for my 79 and had them provide the bearing with it. They should be able to help you out

You can cut it off if thats all you can find, it is done all the time in yards will not hurt anything.
