Hi Peggy, I ordered your book , great info and easy to read. any way I am looking at a diferent steering setup for my catalina 250. and I need a little more room than the factory holding tank is giveing. I would like to put a larger one in there too , I leared to fush fresh water when where done with the boat. I think the tank is 9 gallons . So I need a lower tank but if it was a L shape, there is more room . Is there a custom tank maker somewhere ? Also I measured some gas tanks that might fit ? they have a 1 1/2 fill , a vent . all I would have to add is a 1 1/2 discharge line. Thanks

Thanks Rich, did you give them anthing to work with ? I was thinking I could make the shape I needed out of foam . Ill do this project next year . I havent started anything yet .

Sean, yes I emailed them a pdf drawing....
that I got from Hunter. If your existing tank fills most of the space that you have, you could use that as a baseline and make a full-size mock-up of just the new section. Or you could just make a mold of the entire space. The approach that I would try is to line the area with a piece of a plastic garbage bag and then mold the full-size shape of the entire or rest of the tank. I would try to use paper and glue (like a pinata) to form the shape (see attached link). Another possibility to use for the mold material would be insulating foam- the downside of that is that it would be much more expensive. Good luck.
